Would you like to get more involved with Utah Moms for Clean Air? Please join these working groups.
- Steering Committee - working to develop mission, goals, and overall direction of organization.
- Transportation - working to find strategies to reduce auto emissions through the promotion of multi-modal transportation options, public transit, tax incentives for high-efficiency transportation, etc.
- Clean Energy - working to find strategies to reduce emissions from energy production through the promotion of diverse renewable energy portfolio, energy conservation, moratorium on new coal-fired power plants in Utah and Nevada.
- Fundraising & Event Organizing - working to fund the financial needs of the organization through fundraising events big and small, grants, and logistics for events.
- Education Outreach - working to create organizational materials, developing school programs and tabling at events.
- Publications & Virtual Outreach - working to communicate with members and the public through the website, newsletter, and other means.
- Media - working to communicate with the public through the media.
- Government Relations - working to effectively interact with and influence legislators and other government bodies, lobbying training, participating in local and state government committees, public comments, creation and support of new congressional clean air bills.
- Regulatory Oversight - working to oversee regulatory bodies responsible for measuring air quality and meeting clean air standards.
- Science - working to survey current scientific data on air pollution and health effects.
